The Institute for Cultural Evolution does not officially endorse candidates for public office. But I feel personally obligated to express my political opinion on the upcoming election. In 2016 and 2020 I made similar posts on this blog about America’s forthcoming presidential election.
While I acknowledge that there are many people of good sense and good faith who support Donald Trump, I cannot assent to his leadership. My considered assessment is that Trump’s apparent disregard for the truth, coupled with his generally untrustworthy character, disqualifies him from the office of the presidency.
I accordingly recommend that American readers of this blog vote against Trump and for Harris on November 5th.
That being said, I will accept whoever wins the election, and I have confidence that the American Republic will endure long into the future, regardless of which candidate becomes president.
