Please join us for a presentation and discussion by developmental philosopher Steve McIntosh.
At a surface level, post-postmodern (integral) culture broadly includes numerous spiritual paths. Yet, at the same time, this emerging subculture is attempting to transcend postmodern cultural relativism. So, what are post-postmodernism’s social norms regarding spiritual pluralism? Should we carry forward New Age relativism? Are spiritual teachings open to debate? Do we need a broadly empirical “science of spirit” to evaluate different spiritual truth claims?
In both our February and March Zoom meetings, we will explore these questions and consider post-postmodern culture’s relationship with religion and spirituality in general. This two-meeting series will begin next week with a talk by Steve, followed by group comments and questions. Then, next month, we’ll delve deeper into the topic of spiritual pluralism through breakouts and further group dialogue. We invite you to join us as we contemplate this vital topic.
When: Wednesday, February 12, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM Mountain Time
